Where and when will we practice? A:
Tuesdays and Thursdays: Wauwatosa/ Hart Park.

Can my kids practice on their own? A:
Yes. Kids are expected to practice on their off days. If you do not
have a practice in your area, you can hold practice on your own. We can
give you ideas for your workouts.

How long is the season? A: The
cross country season will begin around August 17th and end around October
30th. The track season will begin around March
8th and end around June 20th.

Where will we have our
meets? A: (Metro Milwaukee Area)

What ages can
participate? A: The Middle School team will consist of 5th, 6th, 7th and
8th graders. Younger kids can practice with the team if the area
coach permits it. Third and 4th graders can participate if there is
desire, commitment, and talent. The High School team will be for 9th through 12 graders.

Who can run in the meets? A: Everyone (5th - 12th grade).

Can my kids just attend
practice? A: They should participate in at least one meet/
race.

How much does it cost? A: $30 per
high school athlete and $20 per middle school athlete (registration fee).
$75 family cap. You will need to
purchase your own running shoes and sweats. Middle School runners
need to purchase their own black shorts for meets, and the jersey will be provided.
High school runners will have their uniform provided.

Who will be the coach? A: You (the
parents) will be the primary coach of your children. Mr. Caspers will hold
group practices at Hart Park in Wauwatosa. Other interested parents are welcome
to organize a practice.

What is cross country? A: It's only the greatest sport in the world. Distance
running- over hill; over dale; through the field we go. Middle
school- 3000 meters (1.86 miles); High school girls- 4000 meters (2.5
miles); High school boys- 5000 meters (3.1 miles).

What events are in a track
& field meet? A: [Track & Field Events]

As a parent, what is expected of me? A: Parents
will be asked to take a few good action photos of their kids. You will
also be asked to help with timing and logging statistics. For younger
kids, you should remind them when and how to warm up for their race.

What else can I do to help? A: Plenty.
Tell others about the team. Help with coaching. Contact local
schools to find practice facilities and teams to compete against. Find sponsorships to help keep
costs down.
